Travis is three and just beginning to expess himself in words. Before, it was all about "in the moment". Now he's showing what he thinks about, and listening to how he thinks can sometimes be funny.
The other day he said "Meme`, can we go fishing? You know, at Bumper Car pond?" I had to stifle a laugh, because he was thinking of Carbuncle Pond ! Car - buncle = bumper car! It made perfect sense in his mind! After all, what three year old ever heard of a carbuncle?
Later on, when we were inside, the overhead fan was running on high, because my daughter was trying to dry out the carpet she just cleaned. Travis said "Come over here, Meme`, you like fresh air!" He's right, I'd rather be outside in the fresh air any day.
