Things kids say

There used to be a show on TV called "Kids say the darndest things". It's so true, too. Last week I was doing a little spring cleaning in the vegetable garden. Ella, who is four, came in to watch what I was doing. At that point, I was taking all the dead parts off the thyme plants. I crushed some and held it up for her to smell. I told her it was called thyme. She took a big sniff and said "It smells like a clock!". I couldn't help but burst out laughing! She likes to make me laugh, and I still don't know if she said it on purpose, or was understandably confused by the same-sounding name!
