Fairy play

My grandaughter is facinated with fairies at the moment. It started when her uncle gave her a beautiful book about them. When the weather turned warmer, and mushrooms began popping up in the garden, I asked her if any fairies were living under them. She went through quite a few things to try to find out. She brought a flower for them to smell, and stuck a piece of grass down next to it to tickle them out! No use. I suggested that we go back in the woods and make a fairy house. She told me I had to make one too. We had a great time with it. We check on them, and find changes. Usually something is out of place, or knocked over. There have to be stories told to explain it all.
Yesterday, Ella went to check on the hosta plants, and I pulled off one of the flowers. I said it looked like a fairy skirt. We made fairy dolls out of the flowers, twigs, grass and a berry head. Oh, and tiny leaves for the wings. She said "Wow, we made a craft!". So we did! She really brings out my imagination, and I love her all the more for it.
