I have been noticing old bird's nests everywhere lately. They are easier to see in winter, of course, but with the snow piled on top of them, they really stand out. I'm tempted to make a photo collage of them.
This morning it was daylight when I pulled in to work, and just over the railing, I saw pussywillows in bloom! I think this is the earliest I have ever seen them. It's a mystery why they would be out now, when we have had temperatures way below average. If there had been a warming trend, I could understand it. Anyhow, it's a hopeful sign, and made me smile. That's always a good thing when arriving at work.
