a new year

The year is about to change. I'm not normally an optimistic person, but after the trials I've had this year, I'm hoping that this new year will bring more positive things. I'm not deluding myself though. My mother is sick again, and one of my dear friends has cancer. All I can really do for them is pray. I wish that I had a magic wand to make their troubles go away.

What I do have to look forward to, is my new granddaughter who will be born in March. All signs are good that she will be a healthy baby. Ella is excited to be getting a baby sister. I'm not sure she remembers the reality of an infant, but she says she understands that her sister will start out little! I hope they will grow to be best friends.

With three little ones to love, and who love me back, I will manage through anything!
