Grandchildren are not boring!

I read an article yesterday that completely blew me away, and not in a nice way. It was written by a grandmother who says her grandchildren bore her! How is that even possible!
She claims to miss them when they aren't around, and is always glad to see them when they arrive, but then she finds whatever they do, to be boring! My blood nearly boiled!
How on earth can you say you love people, and not be interested in what they do and say? Especially your own grandchildren! I got the sense that this woman is very self-centered to begin with, and can't be bothered with what must seem trivial to her. I'm also wondering if she had a childhood of her own! She must not know how to play!
My grandchildren are the light of my life! I love to listen to them, watch them, and play with them! They bring me back to childhood, and the fact that I'm older now means that I can act just as silly as I want to with them, and I don't care what anyone else thinks. It's just so much FUN!
I feel sorry for that woman's granddaughters. They won't know the unconditional love a grandparent can give. I guess I feel sorry for the woman herself, because she has no sense of playfulness, no experience of wonder.
I am so grateful for my grandchildren and the joy their lives are giving to me!
