Recital time

Ella has been in ballet this year. It's been a long school year of transporting her to class every Wednesday afternoon. Last night was her recital. She looked beautiful in her blue sparkly outfit. She was allowed to wear makeup for the first time, and Jen applied it with a lovely touch. Ella was thrilled. She was so excited she couldn't sit still. There were several acts before hers, so she got to sit and watch them.
When it was Ella's turn to perform, she joined her classmates on stage and danced to a song portraying Goodnight Moon. I could see her singing along. It probably helped her know what step to do, when. She was perfect, and even helped another girl remember what to do. It was really beautiful to watch.
Jen had arranged to get flowers through the dance studio, so she was there to present them to Ella when she came off stage. When Ella came back to the seats, she was positively glowing!
I'm grateful to be a part of something that makes her so happy.
