Christmas is approching and we have plenty of snow to make it a white Christmas. I am not a snow lover at all, because it keeps me from doing the things I love to do outdoors. When I first moved to RI from NH, people often asked me if I ski. As if it was a requirement. Nope! Tried it a couple of times, but wasn't thrilled with it. I don't enjoy going fast, and being cold.
When I was much younger, I would take winter hikes. I rode horses no matter what temperature, in the indoor ring. Maybe my tolerance for cold has changed over the years. I don't have access to an indoor riding ring any more, and I'm too cautious to take the horses out on ice.
Some may ask why I don't just move to a warmer climate. My entire family lives here, and I won't leave them. Besides, when it's not winter, I LOVE New England.
